Venture Crew 101

Looking for places to Hike and places to backpack suggestions to start off the summer for the crew. Someplace in Wyoming and Northern Colorado.
Please let me know what you think.

Also, please share your favorite hike. (This one can be anywhere)

In March 2018 earlier this year, Crew 101 tried out cross country skiing at Tie City located off of Happy Jack road. The area is surprisingly protected from the wind and the snow stays around for a long time. Park staff also regularly grooms the trails for cross country skiing. The area supports snow shoeing also.

Solar Eclipse Weekend at Camp Laramie Peak
All Boy Scouts, Venturers, and Scouters are invited to attend our weekend of activities August 19-21 at Camp Laramie Peak, northwest of Wheatland, Wyoming, and stay to view the Solar Eclipse on Monday, August 21. The eclipse is expected to happen at approximately 11:45 A.M. and Camp Laramie Peak is in one of the prime viewing windows for the eclipse. This is expected to be a once in a lifetime experience because of the type of eclipse this is and our viewing area being very close to the centerline. The eclipse will begin to darken the area around 10:30 A.M. and will last until approximately 1 P.M. The actual blackout time will be approximately 2 1/2 minutes.
