🪵 Artist Spotlight: Gary Evans

Meet Gary Evans—an Army veteran, Vietnam veteran, and talented woodworker whose handcrafted scroll-sawn creations celebrate both craftsmanship and the spirit of the West.

Working with beautiful woods such as Purpleheart and cedar, Gary creates intricate crosses, ornaments, puzzles, napkin holders, and other one-of-a-kind pieces. Every design reflects the patience, precision, and care that have become hallmarks of his work.

For Gary, woodworking is more than a hobby—it's a way to relax, create, and share something meaningful with others. One of the things he enjoys most about the Cheyenne Artists Guild is simple:

"The people."

It's the friendships, encouragement, and creative community that keep him coming back.

Come see Gary's handcrafted creations at the Wild, Wild West Art & Gift Show!

🎨 Artist Spotlight: Vusala Hinnant

The Wild Wild West Art & Gift Show is filled with artists whose work tells a story, and Vusala Hinnant's paintings invite you to slow down and discover your own.

A contemporary oil painter based in Cheyenne, Vusala creates layered compositions that balance realism with abstraction. Inspired by architecture, history, horses, and the natural world, her paintings capture not just what a place or subject looks like—but how it feels.

As Vusala shares:

"I create art because I am fascinated by how memory changes the way we see the world. Rather than capturing a place or subject exactly as it appears, I paint to preserve the feeling of a moment, inviting each viewer to discover their own connection and meaning within the work."

Whether you're drawn to the graceful movement of a horse, the beauty of Wyoming landmarks, or artwork that encourages quiet reflection, you'll find something to linger over in Vusala's collection.

Stop by the Wild Wild West Art & Gift Show and experience her work in person.
