Twisted Beauty
We don’t just do hair—we resurrect it. Bad dye jobs? Cursed curls? Whacky cut? Bring it. Everyone is gorgeous—we just make it obvious.

Late post, but apparently Twisted Beauty is officially in the running for Cap City’s Best: Readers’ Choice 2026 — and I am over here feeling grateful, shocked, slightly feral, and very emotionally caffeinated. 🎉🖤
Building this salon has been one giant leap of faith — full of amazing clients, incredible coworkers, big wins, stressful moments, weird ideas that somehow worked, and a whole lot of “well… let’s see what happens.”
And through all of it, you guys have shown up.
You’ve booked the appointments, trusted the process, laughed with us, supported the chaos, referred your friends, sat through the color corrections, the transformations, the hair experiments, the remodel dust, the schedule changes, and all the Twisted Beauty nonsense in between.
Without our clients — the bold ones, the loyal ones, the low-maintenance ones, the high-maintenance-but-self-aware ones, and the ones who fully understand that good hair is a personality trait — none of this would be possible.
So if you love what we do, we would be so grateful if you’d vote for Twisted Beauty in Cap City’s Best!
Voting is open every day, so vote as often as they’ll let you, share it with your friends, and help us show Cheyenne that weird, talented, no-filter salon magic deserves a spot at the top.
Thank you for supporting this little salon with a big personality. We love you, we appreciate you, and we promise to keep making gorgeous obvious. 🖤✨

Let’s talk about allergic reactions for a second.
Tonight I had a client come in who has sensitive skin, but she had never reacted to hair color or lightener before.
Because of her sensitivity, I decided to err on the side of caution and do a patch test with two different formulas — one regular lightener formula and one ammonia-free option.
She reacted immediately to the regular formula, and about 30 minutes after leaving, she also started reacting to the ammonia-free formula.
So the answer is clear: she cannot have bleach/lightener on her scalp. Period.
And this is exactly why patch tests matter.
Even if you’ve colored your hair before… Even if you’ve had bleach before… Even if you’ve “never had a problem”…
Your body can decide one day that it is no longer participating in the nonsense. Rude, but true.
If you have sensitive skin, allergies, scalp issues, or you just want peace of mind, ask for a patch test before an on-scalp color or lightening service.
It only takes a few minutes, and we typically wait 24 hours before moving forward.
This is why I don’t mess around with scalp safety.
You can have zero history of reactions and still develop one. Bodies are weird. Skin is dramatic. Scalps have opinions
A patch test may not be glamorous, but neither is an angry scalp throwing hands.
Your hair goals matter — but your skin and safety matter more.
