Much of what we do in the SFG is compliance based, rooted in policy, and pretty black and white.

Community policing allows us to “color outside the lines” and get involved in the base community and comes in different shapes and forms. From shooting hoops in a cul-de-sac, playing catch with kids at a park or quenching your thirst at a neighborhood 4th of July lemonade stand. These intangible things can’t be measured, but rest assured they matter and we (and the community we serve and protect) see you.

When TSgt Arthur Waller, 90th Security Forces Group, was asked what is one way he ensures his Airmen are supported both professionally and personally he responded with,

"The way I do that is by taking the time to walk around with them and listen and have personal conversations with them. This is key especially when you are trying to build trust and credibility with them. You have to be willing to offer professional support and personal support."
