Joplin, the open-source and Markdown-friendly note-taking app has just released version 2.10! It features some fancy new UI features and bug fixes. Best part is, even if you're not a weird nerd who knows what "Markdown" is (a really great markup language that's worth learning even for you non-nerds!), Joplin is itself a really good note-taking app that stands toe-to-toe with closed-source, commercial alternatives like Evernote and OneNote - and by virtue of being open-source and featuring note encryption, respects your privacy a hell of a lot more. I cannot recommend it enough, and if you're currently paying for closed-source note-taking software-as-a-service, I encourage you to switch, and help finance the Joplin project.
