This past year has taught me a lot. I learned that success isn’t about being constantly overbooked or people pleasing all the time just to keep everyone happy. I bent over backwards for others and rarely had that same energy returned.

Choosing myself has been one of the best things I’ve ever done. And yes I lost clients along the way but I had to ask myself if those relationships were truly aligned to begin with. Not everyone can adapt to change and that’s okay. I stopped taking it personally when a client didn’t return. Sometimes it’s not rejection it’s simply outgrowing each other and it took me years to understand that.

What I’ve learned most is that boundaries don’t mean a lack of care. I still understand that people have real situations, real lives, and real challenges and I do my best to accommodate when I can. The difference now is that I no longer abandon myself in the process. Growth looks like balance, respect and mutual understanding and that’s the space I’m choosing to build from 🫶
