Gracias por su compañia en la reunion el viernes pasado y por sus preguntas sobre como se identifica estudiantes para el ACCESS, como se otorga, quien, cuando y como preparan estudiantes y familias para entender el proceso.
Estamos concientes de como estudiants pueden responder a la presion de un examen y por lo tanto se considera mucho para ayudar a cada uno poder hacer su mejor trabajo. Sea grupos pequeños, ofreciendo ajustes, apoyos, dando mas tiempo o encontrando fecha alterna para completar, hay maneras de asegurar que estudiantes puedan progresar en su desarrollo de ingles y tambien mantenerlos en camino para el sello bilingue en 5to y 8vo por medios de las Vias, o Pathways que pronto hablaremos! Thank you for your participation in the meeting last Friday and for your questions about how students are identified for ACCESS testing, how it is administered, who administers it, when it takes place, and how students and families are prepared to understand the process.
We are aware of how students may respond to the pressure of a test, therefore rest assured considerations are made to help each student do their best. Whether through small groups, offering accommodations and support, providing extra time, or finding an alternative date to complete the test, there are ways to ensure that students can progress in their English language development and also stay on track for the Seal of Biliteracy in 5th and 8th grade through the Pathways program, which we will be discussing soon!
