Recording project with 🌊

Posted • Had a wonderful time in Chicago conducting a recording session today with Fifth House Ensemble for my dectet piece “Rivers Empyrean,” a work exploring the Chicago river system commissioned by the ensemble and the originally for a 2020 premiere. Can’t thank these amazing musicians enough for their stellar playing and musicianship as a chamber ensemble. Thanks to for the room and piano, and for the engineering!

Posted • This Thursday, our friends at closed out their year of programming with us with a final performance at Belfort House. They did one more round of their Graphic Score Activity with us, where our Belfort residents were able to create works of art that the musicians took as inspiration for original musical pieces they performed right in the Belfort garden.

We’ve been so thankful to work with them this past year, and look forward to future partnerships! Thanks for the music, Fifth House!
