8 Bit Open Mic

We started 8 Bit Open Mic in the back room of a Giddeon Welles in the summer of 2019. When announced they were opening that fall and taking submissions for programming, we submitted expecting not to be selected. An open mic based only on a single bit? Absurd. Preposterous. And yet, our pitch meeting lasted maybe 5 minutes. John was immediately on board and 8 Bit became the premiere open mic at the Lodge.

After Monday, we're taking a little break. Not forever, just a minute. We will return when the bits require it of us, sorta like Batman or Frosty the Snowman. In the meantime, keep our core thesis alive in your hearts "comedy is not written in time, it's written in bits". We love you all, we'll see you Monday ❤️
