Family law is about more than resolving conflict — it’s also about supporting families as they grow, change, and protect what matters most.
At NextLevel Law, our team helps Chicago and Cook County families with legal parentage and other protective legal steps that give loved ones the security they deserve.
Here is a way family law can make a meaningful difference:
Legal protections within families
• Tools like guardianship arrangements and parenting agreements clarify responsibilities and ensure the right people have legal authority to care for a child.
• These protections help families navigate emergencies or long‑term planning with confidence.
If you have questions about parentage or any Illinois family law matter, we’re here to help you take the next step. Call us at (312) 442-2225.

Family law covers more than divorce, and one important area our team supports is legal name changes.
Whether the change relates to marriage, divorce, or aligning your personal identity, the process can feel complex. Filing a petition with the court is just one step — making sure every document is accurate can help prevent delays and make it easier to update IDs, financial accounts, and other records.
If you’re considering a legal name change in Chicago or Cook County, or you need guidance on any Illinois family law matters, our team at NextLevel Law is here to help. Reach out anytime with questions.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to enforce the end of slavery—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It remains a powerful reminder of resilience, freedom, and the ongoing pursuit of justice.
At NextLevel Law, we honor this day and the history it represents for Black communities here in Chicago and across the country.
Our office will be closed on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth, and we’ll reopen on Monday, June 22. We wish everyone a meaningful and reflective holiday.
