Tony L. Ballard Jr. (Chief Investigative Officer) was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Tony graduated from Western Illinois University located in Macomb, IL. In 2009. Tony earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration with a Minor in Communication.

After graduating from Western Illinois University, Tony began a full time career in retail security (Loss Prevention). For many years Tony mastered protecting company’s assets and minimizing shortage through; physical security, apprehending shoplifters and exception reporting.

In 2013 Tony began his career in corrections with the State of Illinois. Tony was a front line security officer tasked with maintaining a safe and secure environment for; himself, his coworkers, and the youth committed to the department. In August of 2016 Tony was promoted to Supervisor. Tony strategically; manages staff rosters, conduct evaluations, recommend staff for disciplinary action, manages overtime equalization, and provides training and development for staff.

On a yearly basis Tony is certified in training areas including; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Verbal de-escalation tactics, Physical de-escalation tactics, and sexual harassment. Tony also serves as Assistant Commander of the Safety Compliance Team where he develops tactical approaches to hostile situations, trains staff, and is a liaison to upper management. Tony looks forward to using his wealth of knowledge and passion for safety and security to serve a diverse clientele base.
