from Seah. Live event is going on right now and into the future, check it out.

I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions and I don’t adhere to the idea that January 1st marks a time to leap into the new. Rather, I see it as a time of slowly simmering the energies of renewal.

There’s a difference.

At 4:03am Chicago time, the full Wolf Moon in Cancer will be at its peak. It’s part of the chain of super moons that began in November and it carries this energy into the Western calendar new year. I see these wintery super moons as a calling inward for deeper lever expansion.

I talk about this in my yoga and movement classes. There’s physical expansion, stretching and opening from one’s core - Triangle pose or Ardha Chandrasana - that’s visible to see. But deep within the layers of our being that physical expansion is simply an outer shell expression of something quietly expanding from within.

This full Wolf Moon in Cancer is ripe for cultivating that quiet expansion within. It’s a calling inward, to examine and carefully sift through the internal home.

What do we cling to needlessly?

What is covered in dust and is asking to be cleaned and reexamined?

What do we hold onto for sentimental reasons?

Why are these things held onto?

Now is not necessarily the time to release them but to come to know them, understand them for what they are. Through this process release may come naturally or we may lovingly collect items that feel like clutter and place them in boxes for storage or to let go at a later date.

If you would like to explore this more, I am offering a live video gathering on Saturday, January 3rd at 7pm

What to expect:
Restorative yoga
Meditation
Sound Healing
Journaling/Mark making

Items to collect & have nearby:
Pillows & blanket
Yoga mat & blocks if you have them
Journal & mark making tools
A candle (electric or real)
Maybe a hot drink
