MAMAS Collective
Mamas Activating Movements for Abolition & Solidarity (MAMAS) amplifies the voices of mother-survivors of state violence for revolutionary social change.
Prisons and police are reproductive justice issues, as forcible separation by the state is one of the most severe methods of interrupting people’s ability to parent their children in safe and sustainable environments. As Mother’s Day approaches, we continue our read-along of Resistance Behind Bars by Victoria Law, and invite you to join us on Sat, 5/9, 1-3pm outside Cook Co Jail for the annual Free Our Moms! vigil & rally, to uplift and show support for all the folks impacted by carceral violence and doing the labor of caregiving across prison walls!

❤️🚨 Support Antonio Porter & Rosemary Cade! Tomorrow is Antonio Porter’s birthday, and he has recently been released from decades of incarceration as part of a pre-trial release.
Antonio’s mother, daughter, aunts, cousins, and broader community have been supporting throughout his time on the inside — showing that we keep us safe, not police and prisons. Now more than ever, we hope to continue to rally community support following Antonio’s release and reunion with his family.
Funds will help cover housing, clothing, transportation, food, and more! Link in our bio!
