Summer vibes!!

Ooh, how I love me some coffee and rock painting in the morning while the rest of the family snoozes! It’s been such a fun way to start the day before the kids wake up and the beautiful mayhem begins! 😜 So here are a few rocks I’ve been working on during Mama’s zen time ❤️🖌🎨

Sooo I began to feel like, although I’m the first to admit I’m a TOTAL newbie at rock painting, that I couldn’t reeeaally call myself a rock painter until I had painted the INFAMOUS ladybug 🐞

This one was actually rather interesting for me, funny the different journeys you go on with different rocks as you paint them... but the symmetry aspect of this design really irked me! Trying to get it perfect was driving me insane. And then the eyes?! Oh goodness. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Definitely learned a lot with this little one (for example, the 20 coats of red taught me to ALWAYS prime your rocks first!) 🙈 So here she is, my first official ladybug! Honestly, it’ll probably be a long time before I paint another one of these again. 😜❤️🖤❤️
