Spread the word regarding Chicago State University's Technology Performance Information Session tomorrow at 6:30 PM CST.

I began my journey in Chicago 5 years ago, moving from McAllen, Texas to pursue an amazing opportunity to play on the Division I NCAA Women’s Golf team for Chicago State University.

Throughout my undergraduate time at CSU, I began my Bachelors in Business Administration-Management. I soon began to take my higher-level Information Systems courses early on in my freshman and sophomore years.

This is where I became aware of the BSMIS/MSTPIS 4+1 Integrated Degree Program and changed my major to Business Administration- Management Information Systems to become eligible for the program. Within my time in the program, I found my passion for technology and leadership.

During my time as an undergraduate and honors student, the honors college provided me with the opportunity for an internship with Morae Global, a Legal Operations and Compliance consulting firm located in Chicago.

I spent the next three years as an intern there, working in enhanced regulatory, strategic, and operational performance. In this growth role, I gained close experience in compliance-related due diligence, benchmark data analysis, and reporting, record management, and cryptocurrency.

Currently, I have accepted an offer for an Associate position with the firm, following graduation in May. Simultaneously, I had the pleasure of working for the University’s Learning Assistance Center, for all my 5 years at CSU, as an advanced English and Spanish Tutor. Lastly, I am wrapping up my final year of NCAA Women’s Golf as a graduate student-athlete.

In Spring 2021, I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Management Information System with honors and continued on track with the program to complete my Master of Science in Technology & Performance Improvement Studies in May Spring 2022.

This program has allowed me to build vital networks, push myself past my comfort zone, and explore all the opportunities that my passion for Tech and Leadership has to offer.

As a career-driven and strong minority woman graduating from this program, I plan to leverage the knowledge and opportunities that this program has provided for me into a future career in Intellectual Property Law.
