Exclusive use of period-correct vintage original parts. All audio path, video path or other high spec components are chosen to match vintage specifications. Otherwise we notify the customer of difficult to locate parts or suggest an upgrade if available.
Our Primary Focus: Upgrades, Modifications, Restoration and Design

We always re-cap aging and cheap electrolytic capacitors (generally needed for reliability). We suggest upgrades to op-amps or transistors when recommended unless vintage tonality relies on original op-amps, period-correct transitors, vacuum tubes, resistors, chokes, coils or transformers. We always let the customer decide on which route to take so as to not change the original vintage or boutique sound of the instrument or device.

Everything in the audio, video or critical path is kept original unless the customer decides on an upgrade or modernization. We may have many suggestions for improved audio fidelity if desired, or the customer may choose to keep as close to the original show-room floor or quality-aged vintage warm colored sound as possible.

Customer will receive a Refurbishment REPAIR QUOTE ONLY, provided as a one timenon-refundable service fee. You will receive an evaluation service ticket request number via US post office if shipping is required.

Buyer is responsible for shipping or delivery both ways. Can meet at our Chicago location for drop-off / pick up.
Upon quote approval, key parts will be upgraded, we use only top quality components from top US suppliers.

Turn-around time currently about 10 business days.
Some rare commodity obsolete parts are involved and may require longer lead times, awaiting shipping.
