Hi, I'm Katniss! I'm a 7-week-old female German Shepherd Dog with a beautiful black & tan coat, born on January 19. I'll be ready to go home to my forever family after March 16, once I'm grown enough to leave my litter. When I reach my adult size, I should weigh between 40–80 lbs. I'm AKC registered. My playful nature will keep you smiling all day long.

We won’t actually have her here until summer since we’re importing her from Poland, but I wanted to finally introduce her.

Meet Runa.

She isn’t the darkest puppy, or the one with the most pigment, but week after week I kept finding myself drawn back to her. Sometimes you just know. I wanted to wait until I heard more about temperament before being sure, and hearing that she also has the temperament I’ve been looking for just made it feel even more right.

I’m very picky about names and always try to pick something rather unique. Runa carries that same feeling of runes, symbolism, meaning, and something a little deeper that’s hard to explain. After losing two pieces of my heart, this feels especially significant. In a way I can’t fully put into words, I feel like my dogs led me to her.

I wasn’t actually planning to add another so soon. I started researching breeders last year and told myself I would wait until everything felt exactly right. And somehow, that’s exactly what I found with . Talking with her has been such a wonderful experience, and she’s one of those people who somehow feels familiar right away, like someone I’ve known for years.
