An argument in a parking lot on South Halsted Street turned into a shooting.

Javan Weatherspoon, 34, and a 45-year-old woman were arguing in the 5400 block of S. Halsted Street around 2:15 PM when he allegedly pulled out a gun and shot her in the leg.

Highland Park Police are asking residents to shelter in place after a shooting on the 300 block of Walker Avenue around 8 PM Monday.

One person was shot and taken for medical care. Condition unknown.

Police have released photos of a man and woman described as witnesses or potential suspects last seen speaking with the victim before the shooting.
