As part of our fabulous cooking vacation at the Chateau de Sanse in the Bordeaux region, you will visit numerous wineries. One example? The Château de La Rivière, a vast wine estate and castle in Fronsac, a French commune about an hour east of Bordeaux city, which gives its name to the Fronsac AOC wine.

We recently had the chance to visit the expansive underground cellars, which lie in some 8 hectares of carved-out rock, and which house some 500,000 bottles!

After the tour we enjoyed a delicious wine tasting, followed by a picnic lunch on the terrace overlooking the Dordogne - sheer perfection!
