staff member Connie presented on the importance of parents supporting 1st generation undergraduates & how our program prepares them to support their children for college. The application to the APLI program is currently open & the deadline to apply is July 12, 2022.

🚨Meet the new Latino Health Science Enrichment Program (LaHSEP) Cohort🚨. This

summer program is for incoming UIC freshmen from the Chicagoland area. The overall goal of this program is to develop and prepare participants to transition into UIC.

Congratulations to all Twenty-three Chicagoland high school seniors who completed HCOE’s Medicina Academy Apprentice Program (MAAP).

We are excited to share that for the last seven years, we have celebrated a 100-percent college acceptance rate for our students.

Established in 2009, MAAP is designed to encourage high school students interested in becoming doctors and to help diversify the medical profession.

We celebrated the conclusion of the APLI Cohort 10 program. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the APLI program. The primary benefit for parents participating in this program is the development of parenting skills that will help prepare their children for college & careers in the medical profession.
