$960,000 AND COUNTING. Last night’s “Laugh Your Face Off” was something we could have never imagined when we started this thing on a random Thursday night back in 2015. To see 800 people in one of the most iconic venues in Chicago, joining our fight against a disease many of them didn’t even know existed 11 years ago—words cannot describe it. It was magic.

Our research is progressing like never before, our reach is expanding, our influence is growing, and none of that happens without Chicago. What we did last night is not happening anywhere else in the world—Chicago has become the center of the TN universe, and I could not be prouder to call this city home. God, do I love this town.

But not as much as I love my wife. Amy was an absolute vision last night. I marvel at her every year—how she’s able to carry herself with such grace despite unbelievable pain. So many patients shared their success stories with us—how her story led them to a diagnosis, and then eventually to a successful treatment. Your words will stay with us forever. Thank you—it has been the honor of our lives.

There is nowhere near enough space on here to thank everyone who needs to be thanked, but we would not be here without the support of Northwestern Medicine, who took a chance on us when Navy Pier was a fantasy. Thank you also to Mandi Ginn Franz for being such a badass and bravely telling your story, to our comics Megan Gailey Adam Gilbert Kyle Ayers and Kevin Bozeman to my brother JOHN VINCENT, to every one of our committee members and fellow trustees at The Facial Pain Research Foundation, to ESP Presents and 1440 Event Design for turning our vision into reality, and to the incomparable Jane Lynch, whose own family has been touched by this disease, and who flew in from LA just to be able to meet and talk to our patients.

We are so humbled, so thankful, and so hopeful.

Change is coming.
