Meet 2025 3Arts / MSUFCU Community Dance Awardee Wendy Clinard! Wendy (she/her) is a dancer, choreographer, educator, relationship builder, and the founding artistic director of Clinard Dance, established in 1999. Her work is rooted in flamenco but extends across contemporary performance and community-centered practice, pioneering a unique style that emphasizes rhythm, improvisation, and dialogue with music, text, and visual art. Meet 2025 3Arts / 3 Cheers Teaching Arts Awardee Tom Lee! Tom (he/him) is a teacher, puppet artist, designer, and director whose work often explores manipulated objects, miniatures, and figures in dialogue with animations and projections. Tom teaches puppetry nationally and internationally and is co-director of the Chicago Puppet Lab which seeks to develop and empower new voices creating original work for the puppet theater in Chicago. TODAY is the last day to support the Community Award! The growing circle of support around this year’s Community Award campaign continues to grow!
Every gift continues to make a difference. While we’ve reached our goal, the campaign remains open until midnight tonight.
Any additional gifts will help extend the impact of this collective effort by supporting our responsive grant programs aimed to help artists navigate moments of crisis (3ER) or seize opportunities that can advance their careers (3-Opp).
Chicago is defined by the artists who live and work here. They are the heartbeat of our neighborhoods, shaping ideas into physical existence. Thanks to the generosity of the Community Award supporters, we will once again be able to honor and invest in an artist whose work strengthens our communities and enriches our city.
