NextME is seeking a self-motivated Front End Engineer who is focused on building high-quality experiences in the browser that are as performant as they are delightful for our customers.

You must be excited to work with a small and scrappy team to build a seamless user experience for our web app. Ideally, you have experience writing maintainable styles, working with APIs, and building and testing scalable JS applications with React.

We believe front-end development is closely related to design, helping bring life to the product from a visual interaction layer, and ultimately helping people solve their problems while bringing them value to their everyday lives.

MUST BE LOCATED IN THE U.S. (NO OFFSHORE TEAMS OR AGENCIES)

Responsibilities

-Develop a deep understanding of NextME’s technology and design standards

-Lead the technical design strategy and implementation to build beautiful, impactful, and purposeful user experiences without sacrificing quality or performance

-Work closely with the rest of our engineering team to connect with our API

-Contribute to the company’s strategic direction, development and future growth

-Communicate effectively with the executive team internally, as well as apply a consultative approach externally with clients and/or strategic partners

-Propose strategies to take existing front end applications built in older paradigms and reimplement them using current best practices

-Leverage data to inform decisions and define metrics to measure the success of new features

-Provide leadership in a fashion that supports the company’s culture, mission and value

-Have a passion for coding and getting your hands dirty

-Help actively recruit and manage the best talent to scale the engineering team

Requirements

-Mid (at least 3 years) to Senior level engineering skills with experience building modern scalable web applications using React or another modern JS framework

-Mastery of HTML and CSS and experience styling custom and isolated components

-Strong UX and Design sensibilities to build accessible and responsive products

-Experience building and debugging complex systems and ability to humanize complicated designs

-Experience in programming and interacting with APIs

-Effective writing and presentation skills

-Relentless focus on our customer’s experience and attention to detail

-Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff

-Flexibility with changing scopes and priorities, we believe in iteration and work in a fast paced environment

Bonus skills & attributes

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related area
