The Stegosaurus (meaning “roofed lizard”) was a herbivorous, four-legged, armored dinosaur from the Late Jurassic and known for its kite-shaped plates along its back and spikes on its tail. 🦖

With a low brain to body ratio, Stegosaurus relied more on its brawn than its intelligence to survive. Perhaps it was more like the large loving family dog that was content to roam and eat - although whether it enjoyed belly rubs will likely never be known! 🦕
