This is Athena. This portrait was commissioned by a friend for a friend. Athena recently passed from cancer at a young age. These drawings are difficult and sweet for me to do, packed with a lot of emotion. Those among us that have lost a dog to soon know this particular heartbreak deeply. We can't help but share this grief. I think this grief is love. Love is always worth sharing. 💜
