John Tejumade is a previous Adult Education student with us, working toward his GED.
John had to take a break from classes due to a medical issue.
He started working with an organization called Healing Hands of Nebraska, where he is able to pay for his surgery through community service hours.
John volunteered over 37 hours in our food pantry. Other volunteer hours from HACC contributed to the other 337.5 hours needed.
John was able to talk with other volunteers to share his story and talk about the Healing Hands program.
We are happy we are able to support John receive the care he needs and also support our Food Pantry at the same time!
