As we prepare for El Valor’s 33rd Annual Don Quixote Gala on Friday, June 12, we are reminded that the strength of our community comes from people who show up for one another.

Because of the generosity of our sponsors, partners, and supporters, El Valor is able to provide education, opportunities, support services, and care to more than 4,000 children, adults with disabilities, and families across Chicago each year.

Last week, El Valor’s Children and Family Centers celebrated the moms, caregivers, and mother figures who are such an important part of our community.

Across our four Centers, families came together for paint classes, Zumba, coffee and conchas, children’s performances, and other special activities to celebrate the people who show up for our little ones every day.

Families are at the heart of everything we do, and it was a joy to honor the women who help our children and communities thrive.

El Valor’s General Counsel, Adam Gonzalez, joined local community leaders including State Senator Celina Villanueva and Chicago City Clerk Anna Valencia to bring support to Pilsen Community Businesses today. El Valor was founded in Pilsen and is committed to building up and supporting our neighborhoods.
