Midwest Interest

Special and huge thanks to Ian Gates and Jim Hillard and the team at Larsen Marine Service, Inc. (LMS) for their efforts last night in retrieving our friends who had come a long way and had engine troubles. I got at call from North Sails Louisa Bobyk who was helping deliver the Soto-40 Afterburn from Toronto to Chicago for the Chicago Yacht Club Race To Mackinac. They were 40 miles out of Chicago and had lost their impeller. Reasonably close (15 Miles) to Larsen Marine Service, Inc. (LMS), I told them to turn west and head there. Ian met me at 7:30PM and we went out and found them sailing in a dying breeze about 4 miles out. We hooked up a tow line and had them into the dock just before 9pm.
Larsens will hopefully have them back on their way this morning. Its been a long journey for Afterburn and thrilled they have come such a long way for the race.
