We had a great crowd of 400+ folks at The Vault in Galesburg for the Veteran & Senior Fair on April 29! The Trajectory team was with our partners at Nexamp to connect with community members and spread the word about subscriptions to the Southside Community Solar Project—continuing our partnership to expand access to community solar and savings on monthly utility bills in the area.

This week, Trajectory Energy Partners donated $10,000 to the City of Galesburg to support improvements to public parks on the city’s south side. This contribution honors a commitment made during the development of Southside Community Solar—a Community-Driven Community Solar project intentionally designed to deliver direct, tangible benefits to Galesburg residents. Clean energy and clean parks go hand in hand, and we’re proud this investment will help strengthen shared public spaces and local renewable energy.
This milestone reflects years of close collaboration with the Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development and the City of Galesburg, IL. As Southside Community Solar moves closer to being energized—with our partners at Nexamp as the site's long-term owner and operator—we’re excited to see the project deliver lasting value in the community.

We’re spotlighting Lacon Solar ☀️ — a 2MW community solar array in Lacon, Illinois. The project was a true collaboration with local residents and Lacon Township officials, and will provide needed additional property tax revenue to Marshall County, alongside providing nearby residents with utility bill savings through community solar subscriptions.
After receiving strong community support during the permitting process, Lacon Solar was built with union labor and energized in 2025 by Summit Ridge Energy, the project's long-term owner.

The Trajectory Energy team had a chance to kick off the new year together in Chicago last week. After navigating some tricky winter travel, we had a chance to collaborate on the opportunities ahead to add more clean energy to the grid in Illinois and Maryland, two states where it's needed now more than ever. We're excited to make 2026 another solar-filled year!
