Amazon announced it will close it's US Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh physical stores (after already making a similar annoucement in UK). Don't assume this means, they are giving up Grocery however. The frequency of grocery purchases is as critical and appealing to Amazon as ever. What has changed is that Amazon has figured out how to win Everyday Essentials and Perishables through same day delivery from climate controlled zones in fullfilment centers.
