Meet Ardmore Roderick’s Summer 2026 Interns! These engineering, architecture, finance, and communications students are spending their summers working with various teams at Ardmore Roderick. Today we are highlighting three of our summer interns, Carlos Flores, Mia Van Prooyen, and Andy Ochiabutor.

The Summer 2026 Internship Program at Ardmore Roderick is in full swing!

This year’s interns are already gaining hands-on exposure to real-world engineering through site visits to impactful infrastructure projects. Recently, our team had the opportunity to visit the 79th St. Metra Bridge Lift Project, which involves elevating 3 spans of an existing Metra rail bridge to provide additional vertical clearance for the freight corridor below. This improvement allows for the passage of larger freight cars and higher-capacity loads, enhancing rail network efficiency and supporting regional freight mobility while maintaining uninterrupted Metra service.

The visit, led by Structural Department Head, Shawn Brodaski, PE, SE, provided valuable insight into the complexity and coordination required to successfully deliver critical transportation infrastructure projects.
