The strongest reminder of why manufacturing jobs matter came from a teammate’s story.

During one of our regular corporate town halls, Barry Zekelman spoke with teammates about the role these jobs play in people’s lives. Robert Hanley shared his experience being diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2015 and the support his job, health insurance, and benefits provided while his family faced treatment, surgeries, and uncertainty.

That conversation made the bigger point clear. Manufacturing jobs are not only about what gets made. They are connected to families, stability, healthcare, communities, and the ability to keep moving through difficult moments.
