We are so excited to announce our next visiting artist, SHENEQUA 🎉Join us on Friday, January 22 from 7–8 p.m. for an online evening with the Chicago-based textiles artist. Learn about her art practice, process, and vision. This Zoom event is FREE to our community!
.
Using yarn, synthetic hair, fabric strips, and other miscellaneous fibers and materials, SHENEQUA creates stunning and meaningful woven pieces. She will take us into her studio to generously share her work with our community. Attendees are encouraged to work alongside her as she demonstrates one of her signature techniques.
.
⭐ To attend, please register via the link in our bio (scroll down to Online: Winter 2021, Textiles Winter VAP with SHENEQUA.) Prior to the workshop, you will receive the Zoom link, meeting ID, and passcode via email. ⭐
.
While our Visiting Artist Program is free to attend, we ask you to consider making a donation to an organization of the artist’s choice. SHENEQUA has chosen to raise funds for the Lillstreet Art Center Merit Scholarship Fund. To donate, please call us at (773) 769-4226 or or email us [email protected]. Thanks in advanced and we hope to see you on the 22nd!
