Introduction to Illustration
Discover the secret to unlocking your creative and technical potential with this four week class, open to all skill levels. As an introductory class to illustration, students will learn foundational approaches to manually translating what they “see” into a recognizable image on paper. Across 4 classes, meeting once a week, we will undertake still life observation, action drawings, and collaborative exercises that will build students’ abilities in draftsmanship, observation, and mindfulness. Bio: 
Ishbel Rodriguez is a painter and printmaker based in Chicago’s Southside, she received her BFA from The School of the Art Institute in Chicago, 2020. Her work is informed by traditional materials and techniques.
