The Fall 2023 issue of Portable Gray: Borders, Edges, Language
is not available online!
This issue of Portable Gray looks at the interchanges of how borders are formed and transgressed by and through language, and stakes out the felt edges of both and even the edge of material edges. Contrarily, contributions in this edition demonstrate that if language is a vehicle for communication and agreement, it is necessarily the space where meaning gets confused and precipitates contestation.
Featuring contributions from Tom McDonough, Iman Issa, Leah Feldman, Slavs and Tatars, Susan Gzesh, Nazafarin Lotfi, Tiffany Chung, Mark Philip Bradley, Rande Cook, Lindsay Katsitsakatste Delaronde, Kelly Richardson, Paul Walde, Nikki Sanchez, Stephanie Smith, Itamar Francez, Duncan MacKenzie, Christian Kuras, Stephanie Cristello, Tina Post, Nicky Ni, Ellen Wiese, Zaria Sawdijah El-Fil, Jessica Musselwhite.
Portable Gray is excited to announce the introduction of the Portable Gray Review (a.k.a. PGR)! This new section explores an unconventional and wide spectrum of arts and culture. PGR is free online!
