Mother’s Day can be a difficult day for many.
We urge those who may struggle with this holiday to dedicate some time to create a plan to help yourself out today.

We know how easy it is to get overwhelmed thinking about a task. Sometimes the task itself takes less time or effort to complete than it would to procrastinate!
Something we find helpful is to really know what you’re dealing with: how long will it actually take, and what will it actually entail to complete?
Once you know exactly what you’re up against, it may a whole lot easier to take that first step. And from there, it’s just one foot in front of the other.

Procrastination is stress relief in disguise. It’s a sign that we are in need of relief, and compassion, rather than discipline. Here’s the thing, though: the stress relief we’re seeking when we use procrastination is often short-lived. The stressors come back, often having compounded. With a couple of tweaks, modifying the ways that procrastination is used as a coping skill may help make the stress relief long-lasting, rather than short-term relief that results in an even bigger pile of stress we’ve pushed just a bit further up the road.
So, instead of getting stuck in the frustration, is there a different approach you could be using? If you struggle with procrastination, what’s something that has helped you? Share below so we can support others!

With all the warm and fuzzies flying around instagram this weekend, we wanted to take a moment to talk gratitude. If you’re just not feelin’ it this year, that’s okay! It’s normal to not feel that with all the upcoming holiday crazy and, well, the past few years we’ve had.
🤍
Give yourself grace, take a couple moments to take a grounding breath and find whatever little kernels of gratitude you can, and then move forward with your day the best that you can.
🤍
Stay tuned for our post next week about your emotional accounting, it’s going to be a good one

Happy World Kindness Day, everyone! It’s something so simple yet so very crucial these days. We talk about communication all the time around here, so remember to choose kindness first.
We noticed posted his words “simplify, slow down, be kind” this morning, and we’re taking that to heart today. Giving ourselves those extra moments to be able to act from a place of kindness can be so impactful.
Have a wonderful (and kind!) rest of your weekend 🤍
