Our Story
Sixteen years ago in the basement of a small bar, a group of close friends made a decision to throw a surprise party for a friend who had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at the same time as her mother. Her only wish, while struggling for her life, was to provide enough toys to make an impact on many Chicago children less fortunate than her. The wish was fulfilled that night and it was the beginning of something truly special.
Fast forward 16 years and we are organizing our 16th Kandy Kane Ball! From the basement of a small bar to the largest bar in the city, The Kandy Kane Ball has found its new home at Joe’s Bar and continues to grow and spread cheer in the holiday season.
