“Darling Take My Hand” is the Folk Rock/Power Pop version of a 19th century Romantic poem. Driven by jangly 12-string guitars and sparkling Wurlitzer keys, this is the greatest 60’s pop ballad that never was (if I may be so bold)!

Thanks to recording extraordinaire Jake Helm for tracking this and Mixmaster Chris Curry for, well, mixing and mastering.

I’m so happy with how this turned out! Sometimes your shortest, simplest songs take the longest to write. This song existed in some way, shape, or form since early 2020. Going through many structural changes, it took me until about 2023 to be able to write the right set of lyrics. I’m so happy all you beautiful people are able to listen to it now. I can’t stop listening to it!

This all just came together so naturally. Everyone in the band learned this in about a week and everybody came up with the perfect part. It was entirely tracked over the course of 3 days, and mixed to perfection in a week. That’s how you make a record, folks!

Had a great time as always playing with this past weekend at ! As a Blooz player, I’m happy I get to step out of my comfort zone and moonlight as a Country picker, especially with one of the best singers around!
