"Punk rock brought us together. We met through mutual friends, all of us attendees of a music festival in my native Florida that occurs every October. A long group Zoom call during the pandemic era led to me inviting him to a house party, and we started dating long distance. (I was here in Chicago, Matt in Detroit.) Soon we were spending every weekend we could together, and our love grew from there.

I fell in love with campus the second I arrived as a grad student, and some of my fondest memories here in the city are ones I made at UChicago. We wanted to have our ceremony somewhere that had personal meaning to us (and we are both massive architecture nerds) so Bond was the absolute perfect choice."
