During our stop in New York, I took a moment to go uptown to Washington Heights and visit the first apartment my grandmother ever had when she came to this country. El mismo apartamento donde nacieron mi mamá y mis tíos. The beginning of my family’s story here.

Being there made me think a lot about sacrifice, about starting from cero, about how many Latino families came here with nothing but faith, hard work, and hope for something better. It’s easy to forget how much courage it takes to leave everything behind and build a new life from scratch.

Standing in front of that building, I just kept thinking about how far we’ve come. Y honestamente, none of this exists for me without her. No music, no touring, no partywatcher. Todo empezó con una decisión generations ago to dream bigger for the family. Y seguimo soñando en grande 🖤🖤
