PullmanArts
Bringing together arts & culture on Chicago's far south side. Everyone deserves access to art, and creators should be treated like family.
We have power! Back to our normal hours today at the Block House Gallery, from 5PM to 7PM.

We crossed our fingers, but the power's not back on yet. The Block House Gallery will be closed today (Thursday, June 11th), and we will provide additional updates as soon as we have them.

We're not expecting many of you to brave today's storms in order to visit Shane-Jahi Art's "Pullman Porters & Maids: Invisible Labor, Visible Legacies". But don't worry, there are plenty of days left to see the show as curated by Juelle Daley at the Block House Gallery!
We will be closed on Saturday, June 13th for a private event, but aside from that you can find us open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday through July 11th.
During this year's Historic Pullman Garden Walk, the signature event of our friends at Historic Pullman Garden Club, the theme is art!
The Block House Gallery will be open the full day of the event on June 27th, extending our usual open gallery hours so everyone can visit our current gallery show. Simultaneously, a group of illustrators from Urban Sketchers Chicago will be working on drawings of each of the featured gardens en plein air throughout the day, and local artists will display work as part of The Art Institute of Chicago's Project Windows.
The Garden Walk will also feature an opportunity to visit The Passion of Pullman Garden, where neighbors debuted an art installation with alt_ last year as part of a multi-site collaboration with DCASE that also resulted in a new mural at 110th & Michigan and a sound-based installation at 113th & Michigan. This is one of Passion of Pullman's only public programs this season as they continue to make significant site improvements, so don't miss it!
