Anger is a human emotion. Even in Scripture, we see people expressing anger in the face of injustice, suffering, and broken relationships.

The question is not whether we will feel anger. The question is what we do with it.

Faith invites us to listen to what our anger is telling us, bring it before God, and allow it to be transformed into wisdom, compassion, and action that serves our neighbors.

When guided by love, even anger can become a force for healing and justice.

Awareness is important, but awareness alone does not create change.

Marches, vigils, petitions, and public witness can shine a light on injustice. They help us see what is happening and remind others that they are not alone. But faithful advocacy also asks, "What comes next?"

As people called to service, we are invited to move beyond awareness and into action: contacting elected officials, supporting community organizations, volunteering our time, accompanying those who are marginalized, and working for policies that promote dignity and justice.

The ELCA Advocacy ministry offers practical ways to engage issues that affect our neighbors and communities. Advocacy is one way we live out our faith in the world.

Faith calls us not only to notice injustice, but to respond.
