Beginners welcome

Our co-owner Harumi will guide you through an hour of gentle, breath-focused yoga, inviting you to connect with slow down and reconnect.

We’re also thrilled to welcome the wonderful Katarina (can we tag her? her Instagram is katarina.here.and.now), who will lead a guided loving-kindness meditation—cultivating compassion for yourself, others, and all beings.

Katarina Bio

Katarina currently teachings yoga and provides meditation mentorship to the University of Chicago community where she is a graduate student in Buddhist Studies. Her scholarly studies have her steeped in Buddhist philosophy, Tibetan language, history, and lore.

In her previous career, she spent 12 years practicing clinically as a Zen Shiatsu therapist, instructing training courses for several years and teaching classes and workshops internationally.

She continues to call Chicago her home and serves as the President of UChicago Buddhist Association.
