Recently had the pleasure of commissioning a photoshoot with my MUY talented friend 📸 🥰

Growing up as a darker skinned kid in Taiwan then immigrating to the US suburb where I was 1 of maybe 5 Asian kids in my class I've never felt that I was someone beautiful. Art was something that had always been a constant for me as a way to cope through various changes in my life. It's taken me years to gain the confidence and grow into who I am and trust my instincts. In recent years, I've really felt that transformation settling in (through lots of therapy and the lovely support system I have) and I see it reflect in my art as well! I asked JoJo to take these pictures for me because I want to learn to be comfortable in not shying away from who I am and be confident to look at someone/camera and not feel the urge to shrink myself instantly.
