MLA Director Professor Ron Henderson contributes his sketchbook to the Cultural Landscape Foundation silent auction to be held in Chicago during the ASLA annual meeting on November 7th and 8th.
According to the Cultural Landscape Foundation website:
"TCLF's 11th annual silent auction of artwork by award-winning landscape designers, artists, photographers, and allied professionals is always a highlight of the ASLA annual meeting and EXPO. This year, it will be located in Booth 646 of the EXPO, to be held at McCormick Place Lakeside Center, Nov. 7-8. Proceeds benefit the Pioneers of American Landscape Design Oral History Project.
In 2003, TCLF launched the Pioneers of American Landscape Design initiative in partnership with the ASLA, with the goal of documenting, collecting, and preserving the unique, first-hand perspectives of renowned landscape practitioners."

In the blog posting, Petersen discusses a panel led by IIT Architecture faculty member Marshall Brown at the ASLA 2015 Annual Meeting in Chicago. The panel used Daniel Burnham's urban plan as a starting point to review three new works of “civic infrastructure,” and included presentations by Sarah Astheimer, ASLA, James Corner Field Operations; Matthew Bird, ASLA, Michael Van Valkenburg Associates (MVVA); and Gina Ford, ASLA, Sasaki Associates.
