Last weekend in Portugal, many small local businesses were giving flowers to every woman and girl who stopped in, or even passed by, for International Women's Day.

My two young daughters asked why they received these beautiful yellow tulips, so I explained it the best way I could for little ones to understand: that there were many women before them who worked (and are still working) very hard to make sure girls could grow up with more opportunities, stronger voices, and bigger dreams, and today we are celebrating that.

Watching my daughters hold these flowers and our "Yes, girl, you can!" sign reminded me of the example we all set. In how we lead, support, raise each other up - this is what the next generation will inherit.

Let's build a world we're proud for this generation of girls to grow into. 💪
