Truist is sponsoring its annual Tier 2 Conference virtually this year on September 28th and 29th. In years past, SunTrust hosted this event in person to provide diverse suppliers with information, education, and opportunities to advance their businesses. We’re applying the same theme this year for the virtual conference and intend to have panel discussions, breakout sessions, and matchmaking meetings to encourage business procurement connections. Some of the featured speakers include: the President/CEO of the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council, President/CEO of the US Black Chamber, Truist CEO Kelly King, Truist COO Bill Rogers and Truist Chief Supplier Diversity Officer and more.

Was great meeting with Illinois’ Congresswoman of the 2nd District Robin Kelly during last week’s trip to Washington, DC to attend the NACo (National Association of Counties) Legislative Conference and discuss collaboration with the federal government to bring resources to Cook County and the 3rd District.

Bill Lowry, Cook County Commissioner of the 3rd District will join the Overton family soon!!!
