Cecilia - Designer

At the age of eight, I knew what I wanted to do with my future and that was work in the field of creating art. Throughout grade school and high school I began to create art for friends and family. I then began to take every art class possible. I have background knowledge in creating menus, websites, business collateral, and invitations, as well as computer illustrations. I can also paint in oil, watercolor, and acrylic ranging from an 8x8in canvas to a 40x60in canvas (which I built myself), and wall murals. Also, I have photography skills I can use to further my art and can create mixed media art on canvas boards or canvas paper.

I have received my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design at the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago. I also received my Associate's Degree in Fine Art in 2014. Some of my work is shown at Bremen High School, South Suburban College, and the pedway below 69 W. Washington in Chicago. I recently worked at ArtSpace 8 on Michigan Ave. in Chicago as a Gallery Assistant and Graphic Designer, before relocating to Bloomington, IL.

Another passion of mine is modeling/pageantry. I modeled as a baby. In 2009 I competed in the Nationals Miss Teen Chicago Pageant, and in 2013 and 2018 I competed in Miss Illinois USA. I have been used as a freelance model for friends. I plan to participate in more pageants for as long as I can. In February 2019 I traveled to Madison, WI to walk in Madison Fashion Week.
