This washed red caturra from Carlos Esteban Cortes is a fruit-forward, deeply sweet expression of Nariño’s high-altitude terroir. Grown at 2,150 meters, the coffee balances structure and clarity with a bold, clean cup-proof that careful, traditional farming still delivers some of Colombia’s most compelling coffees.

Carlos is a young producer with an old-school mindset. He tends his farm with intention, focusing on plant health, cherry selection, and consistency year after year. Beyond his own land, he is actively involved in the local cooperative-working alongside neighbors, sharing insights, and learning from collective experience.

The result is a coffee that speaks plainly and confidently. Clean and expressive, with notes of kiwi, chocolate orange and honeysuckle, this lot reflects both meticulous care and the strength of community. It’s a reminder that when producers are supported and knowledge is shared, everyone from farm to cup benefits.

High in the rainforest-covered mountains of Santa María de Dota sits La Bandera, the Hidalgo family farm and micro-mill.

Owned and operated by Diego Hidalgo, La Bandera is known for rare varieties and a calm, deeply considered approach to processing.
This Geisha is the result of an ongoing collaboration with Metric Coffee.

What began as a conversation became a challenge: apply a true Kenyan Process to La Bandera’s Geisha.

Double fermentation, cool water washes, and slow drying on shaded raised beds followed.
Each step was designed to refine clarity while protecting the variety’s delicate floral structure.
The cup is vivid and composed.

Lifted florals, crisp citrus, and a refined sweetness define the profile.

Rooted in family legacy and shaped by thoughtful experimentation, this coffee reflects Costa Rica at its finest.

If you’ve been waiting to try it, now is the moment.

Since the beginning, has been built around a simple idea: bring roasting and café culture closer together, and show the full life of coffee—from batch to cup.

The back of the building is Metric. This is where all roasting, production, and quality control live. It’s the engine of our work, anchored by the Probat UG15 that helped launch Metric, alongside our “new-to-us” G45, acquired through our friends at in Milwaukee.

The front of the space is Milli—a café shaped by that work. It’s where the coffee leaves the roastery and enters the room, experienced, shared, and understood.

We’re days away from fully moving into our new roasting works, marking a meaningful next chapter—one that gives the craft, the people behind it, and the coffee itself the space they deserve.

Public cuppings to be announced soon.
