This is your reminder to GIVE BACK with purpose.
Our Give Back Closet Initiative is still going strong and your donations are making real impact. Through our partnership with Unique Thrift Store Fundrive, your gently used items are turned into funding that changes lives.
10% supports A Safe Haven Foundation.
90% powers our Pause for a Cause Fashion Show.
Clean out your closet and be part of something bigger.
Pause… this part matters too.
This is what healing looks like sometimes.
⸻
Yesterday, we officially launched our Giveback Closet: Spring Into Action Fundrive.
This isn’t just about cleaning out closets.
This is about turning what we no longer need… into something that someone else might.
We’re collecting gently used clothing and household items, and partnering with a local thrift organization to convert those donations into funding.
👉 10% of proceeds will support Safe Haven Foundation
👉 The remaining funds will go directly toward something deeper…
⸻
This spring, we are building toward Pause & Pose for a Cause.
And no… it’s not just a fashion show.
It’s a space for people who are:
• navigating mental health
• living with invisible illnesses
• trying to become something… while dealing with something
⸻
Before the runway…
before the lights…
before the moment to be seen…
We’re creating a confidence and expression series.
A curriculum designed to help people:
• reconnect with themselves
• build confidence at their own pace
• express what they’ve been holding in
⸻
Because healing doesn’t always look polished.
Growth doesn’t always look consistent.
And becoming… doesn’t always look beautiful.
⸻
So this is bigger than clothes.
Bigger than a check.
Bigger than an event.
This is community.
This is awareness.
This is support in action.
⸻
If you’ve ever:
felt misunderstood…
felt stuck…
or felt like people only see the outcome and not the process…
This is for you.
⸻

⸻
Let’s turn what we have…
into something that helps someone else be seen.

Closet full… but still nothing to wear?
What you’ve outgrown could be exactly what someone else needs.
We’re transforming excess into access through Spur Chicago’s Giveback Closet, as a part of our year round empowerment series M4Rise: Spring into action
Grounded in our four pillars Mindfulness, Movement, Mastery, and Mentorship, this initiative activates Movement by turning intention into action and creating real pathways for community support.
Over the next two months, we are collecting gently used items to serve individuals and families across Chicago while also giving back by contributing a portion of proceeds to A Safe Haven Foundation
If you are not able to give tangible items, you can still be a part of the impact.
We accept donations. Visit www.spurchi.org and click the donate button or support us via PayPal or GoFundMe.
This is more than a drive. This is a community driven initiative advancing dignity, access, and resource equity.
Every contribution matters. Every action counts.
Let’s rise.

As we come to a close on Q1 2026, Spur Chicago reflects on a strong start to the year.
Through hands-on workshops supported by A. Carter Creative Agency, youth participants were introduced to media production, digital storytelling, and content creation.
In Q2, we will continue expanding opportunities through mentorship, advanced training, and new creative initiatives.

✨ We may have been quiet online, but that’s only because we’ve been busy making real noise in the community, hosting events, building connections, and taking learning trips that spark change.
🌱 Quiet doesn’t mean still. It means roots are growing deeper.
Right now we’re on Day Two of our experience in Kenosha, Wisconsin 🌊 and this is only the beginning. The stories, the lessons, the impact… more is coming, and you won’t want to miss it.
